Honua Kai December Update

As a whole, 2013 proved to be a marked shift in the Maui real estate market, with some micro-markets such as Honua Kai enjoying particularly strong sales activity and valuation growth. We will be posting an in-depth analysis of 2013 for Honua Kai and its context within the high-end Maui market, but in the meantime, we will post our December update.

New Listings

Four new listings joined the inventory:

Hokulani 518 - Priced at $798K, this 1 bedroom / 1 bathroom will fill a void in the depleting 'entry-level' inventory. 

Hokulani 446 - Large 2 bedroom / 2 bathroom on the northern end of Hokulani, facing Konea. Priced at $1.3M, it is a bit above comparable sales.

Hokulani 111 - Ground-level 2 bedroom / 2 bathroom unit on the inner courtyard of Hokulani, within a few steps of the pool. Priced at $1.329M, it is an attractive option for those looking for the ease of being on the ground level.

Konea 601 - Quite simply, the best of the best. Priced at $5.3M, it will find the right buyer - someone willing to pay a premium for absolute perfection on the Pacific.

Pending Listings

The listings below are those that went under contract during the month of December only - there are other units that are still Pending but came under contract before December.

Konea 448 - A 1 bedroom / 1 bathroom unit on the northern, outside perimeter of Konea, facing the parking lot. Priced at $790K, it was a matter of time before it went under contract, December 29th.

Sold Listings

Hokulani 223 - A Studio, sold for $630K. It was an unlisted property.

Konea 329 - A current owner purchased this phenomenal 3 bedroom / 3 bathroom unit for $1.97M and received 3 years of pre-paid HOA's.

Konea 625 - Another current owner buying this outstanding 3 bedroom / 3 bathroom unit for $2,042,450 and also received 3 years of pre-paid HOA's.
